Barcelona has extended its partnership with sports brand Puma for five years, signing a new agreement that will see the Catalan club continue to wear the Puma crest on their shirts until 2025.
The deal was announced by both parties on Wednesday and marks another significant step in the relationship between Barcelona and Puma, which began in 1997 when the Spanish club signed a shirt sponsorship deal with the German sportswear company.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Barcelona will continue to be sponsored by Puma during the next five seasons, with the two parties working together to develop new products and marketing campaigns to promote the brand's identity at the Nou Camp.
"This is a major milestone for us," said Puma CEO Björn Körner. "We are very pleased to extend our partnership with FC Barcelona for another five years, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with this great football club."
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu also expressed his gratitude to Puma for its continued support of the club.
"We are delighted to have secured such a long-term partnership with Puma, and we are confident that it will help us continue to deliver exceptional performances on the pitch," he said.
The news comes after a difficult period for Barcelona, who were knocked out of last season's Champions League quarter-finals by Paris Saint-Germain. However, the club remains one of the most successful football clubs in the world, having won a record 27 La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions Leagues.
With the new agreement in place, fans can expect to see more of Puma's branding on the shirts of Barcelona players in the coming years, as well as new products and marketing campaigns designed to further strengthen the brand's relationship with the Catalan club.
